Kottara Ward Celebrates Children's Day

Children’s Day is to celebrate “Childhood”. The Kottara ward celebrated “Children’s Day” on 25th November 2023. The joyful evening was started with the welcoming  of the gathering and with a prayer led by the ward Gurkar Mr. Michael D’Silva.
There were various games conducted for children below the age of 13 and above separately. The games included balancing the book, passing the parcel & musical chairs for the age group below 13. Pick the confetti and various other games were conducted for the children.
Fr. Kevin D’Souza, Assistant Parish Priest and the Brothers joined the gathering in the meantime. Fr. Kevin D’Souza addressed the children by emphasising 3 things: 1) Respect your parents 2) Be sincere in all the work you do 3) To excel in your studies. He shared a few instances to elaborate the same. A group discussion was conducted for the age group of 13 and above on the topic “WHY SHOULD WE RESPECT OUR PARENTS”?. The youth came up with wonderful answers and were appreciated.
“Jesus-The Good Shepherd” grotto at the residence of Mrs Lizzy D’Silva was blessed by Fr. Kevin D’Souza, highlighting how one can become a good Shepherd in their daily lives and the beautiful timing that it was installed at Christ the King's feast.
The Angelus was led by Mrs. Helen, the ward representative and the evening ended with dinner which was blessed by Fr. Kevin D’Souza.

A total of 21 children were present.
